Indiana Ready Mix Concrete Association 2023 Mixer Driver Competition
We are so proud to announce that two of our mixer drivers, Ethan Miracle and Steve Crook, placed in this past weekend’s Indiana Ready Mix Concrete Association 2023 Mixer Driver Competition.
Competing against 17 other drivers in Arcadia, Steve snatched up third place and Ethan effortlessly took first place. It’s no wonder we can Count on Ethan, being a mixer driver is in his blood. He’s a second generation Shelby mixer driver — his dad Allen works for Shelby. While they may not have reached the podium, we are also proud of John Crisp and Tony Taylor for their outstanding showing at the competition.
The statewide competition is held by IRMCA and tests competitors’ skill and safety implementation. IRMCA provides comprehensive education to both operate trucks safely and to stay current with developing technologies and best practices. Additionally, IRMCA provides resources and membership options for those in the Indiana concrete industry.
What’s Next?
This fall Ethan will go on to the national competition, representing Indiana at the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association‘s ConcreteWorks 2023 held in Nashville, TN at the Gaylord Opryland. The national competition takes place October 1st and we can’t wait to support Ethan as he demonstrates both his commitment to safety and his wide breadth of skills.
