Bilingual Ready Mix Dispatcher Javier Rosales Joins Shelby Materials Team
Shelby Materials has always had a deep commitment to customer service and delivering value to Central Indiana clients. In an effort to further the Shelby IMPACT, as well as our commitment to providing a quality products with precision and expertise, we are proud to announce the addition of bilingual ready mix dispatcher Javier Rosales to our #CountonShelby team!
“Javier has been a welcomed addition to Shelby Materials,” said Matt Haehl, VP of operations and sales at Shelby Materials. “We were in need of some additional help, and the fact that he is bilingual, was a great benefit. We have a large Spanish speaking customer base, and having Javier in our office to take their orders and answer their questions, has made it much more efficient for both our customers and Shelby Materials. It is a win-win. Javier is a valuable asset to Shelby Materials, and we are very pleased to have him on our team!”
Meet Javier Rosales
Javier (Javi) Rosales hails from Shelbyville, Indiana and has dreamed of working for Shelby Materials for quite a few years. “I’m from Shelbyville, I knew Shelby Materials had a good reputation, and I have longtime friends who work here as well,” said Rosales. “The position became available, and it was perfect timing.”
You’ll find Javi at the Beech Grove location dispatching and batching, but he is happy to assist Spanish-speaking customers at any of the company’s 12 locations. Javi notes that he most enjoys the fast-paced environment of his position and talking with the customers. He comments that there is something new every day.
“It brings me happiness knowing that I can help the customers. When they call and know I can speak Spanish, you can hear it in their voice, they are instantly at ease,” said Rosales.
When asked about his favorite customer moment so far, Javi notes a dispatch call that ended up being a friend of his with whom he had played soccer. “He was excited to hear my voice. He said, ‘is it really you?!’ He always asks for me now, whether he’s pouring north, east or west,” said Rosales.
