Low Moisture Floors

Quick drying floors are requested when owners want faster occupation of their new building. Floor coverings are usually the final installation. Typically floor sheet goods are sensitive to moisture and many failures have occurred when placed on concrete where moisture still exists.

To address this, the floor covering industry has requested very stringent limits to the allowable moisture in floors when installing floor coverings. If these limits are not met, their warranties are void. To assist with this problem, we have developed mix designs that reduce the moisture in floors, such as those used in the LA Fitness pictured.  They were able to quickly put on floor coverings and continue the building process.  It must be known that concrete in closed rooms or humid conditions will lose moisture at a slower rate regardless of our best efforts.
